    2023: I Won’t Be A Social Media President – Wike

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike on Monday revealed why he wants to become the president of Nigeria in 2023.

According to the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, he wants to end Nigeria’s main problem which is insecurity.

Recall that Wike declared his intention to contest in the 2023 presidential election on Sunday in Benue State.

Wike while speaking on Channels TV on Monday lamented over the recent attack on the international airport in Kaduna State.

He said, “Just look at what happened two days ago when bandits tried to take over an international airport. It is no longer bandits kidnapping people in buses but now trying to take over an international airport in Kaduna.

“What does that portend in our country? What does that tell investors? How did they come in? What happened? No intelligence. The present government is not doing enough; no commitment.

“As a leader, you owe a duty to superintend, supervise what is happening.”

The Rivers State Governor promised to end oil bunkering in the southern part of the country.

He said he would act through social media like the incumbent President, Muhammadu Buhari, but would be at the forefront to ensure that the service chiefs do their work.

Wike when asked whether the PDP has the moral right to come back to power after its eight-year break from Aso Villa said, “Certainly, Nigerians have compared and seen; we were thinking that these guys (All Progressives Congress) are saints; we didn’t know that they have the worst record. It is unfortunate. In 2015, Nigerians are told all kinds of lies and today, Nigerians are saying that they have been deceived.”
