A former Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki has met with policy experts from various sectors to address the nation’s insecurity, economy and job loss crisis.
Naija News reports that Saraki met with the experts in a series of policy planning summits held in Abuja over the weekend.
This is as the former governor of Kwara State prepares to formally declare his intention to run for the presidency in 2023 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform.
In his quest to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, Saraki would be hoping to first clinch the presidential ticket of the PDP.
Other aspirants vying for the PDP presidential ticket include former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State; Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State; Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State; Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State.
Others are former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim; former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose; former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi; Media mogul, Dele Momodu and others.
Recall that Saraki over the weekend met with national, zonal and state youth leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The former governor stated that he would continue to consult with youths because they play a decisive role in the main opposition party.
He disclosed that he met with the National Youth Leader of the PDP, six zonal youth leaders, and all 36 State youth leaders.
