Socio-political analyst, Deji Adeyanju has disclosed why he wants Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State to dump the Peoples Demcoratic Party (PDP) for the All Proggresives Congress (APC).
Naija News reports that Wike’s loss at the PDP presidential primaries is understood to have created a gulf between him and the leadership of the party.
The eventual emergence of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as the PDP vice presidential candidate has further widened the gap.
Though there have been calls and moves for reconciliation, particularly between Wike and the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, ahead of the 2023 polls, it is understood that so far, the efforts have not been successful.
This has given rise to speculations that the Rivers Governor may dump the PDP and not support Abubakar in his quest to emerge as the next president of Nigeria.
In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, Adeyanju said he wants to Wike to join the APC in order to watch the fight and drama between him and the former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi.
He wrote: “Deep down, I want to see Wike go to APC. I just want to watch the fight and drama, especially between him and Amaechi. I love to see politicians fight. Peace is not an option.”
