2023 Presidency: Don’t Be Under Pressure To Pick ‘Managers’ – Okorocha Tells APC Delegates

2023 presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Rochas Okorocha has urged party delegates not to make decisions they will regret later because of pressure.

Okorocha who spoke on Friday shortly after he was presented with the APC presidential nomination form said delegates should avoid sentiments when voting to elect party candidates.

The lawmaker told them to choose builders and not managers.

Naija News understands he said this when the form was presented to him by a group known as the New Nigeria Movement.

He told delegates to avoid pressure from big wigs in the party who may want to install themselves or particular candidates but to follow their conscience.

He said, “I know you will be under intense pressure brought by religious, ethnic, and political sentiments but one question you must ask yourself is what has been your gain? If you cast your vote by sentiment, don’t blame anyone later”.

Okorocha said Nigeria at this time needs him as he is a leader that can take the country out of poverty, insecurity, and other challenges associated with it.

He promised to be a bridge that will link all categories of Nigerians regardless of political, religious, ethnic, or other forms of affiliations.

On why he is better than all other aspirants for the 2023 presidency, the former Imo State Governor said others are managers and he is the only builder which is what Nigeria needs.

He said, “There are so many in the Presidential race, I am not the best aspirant but I am who Nigeria needs to change the ugly narrative. In Nigeria we are going through an abnormal situation, our country is associated with poverty, insecurity, and others, and an ideal person is needed to champion the nation.

“Nigeria requires a builder, not a manager. What I see happening is that many managers are aspiring to manage the nation but you must build first bringing the managers. My only agenda is to create wealth for Nigerians.”
