    Full List Of Buhari’s Associates, Relatives Who Lost APC Ticket

    Some associates and relatives of President Muhammadu Buhari have been defeated in the primaries of the All Progressives Congress despite the influence of the president in the party.

    Some aides of the president had contested to clinch the ticket of the ruling party, while others were on the track of been reelected into their office.

    However, the President who is interested in determining his successor ahead of the 2023 presidential election decided not to interfere in the primaries of the party.

    Here is the list of Buhari’s relatives and associates who lost the APC ticket.

    Sha’aban Sharada

    Sha’aban Sharada is the former Personal Assistant broadcast media to President Buhari. He is also the chairman House Committee on Internal Security.

    The former aide to the president in his bid to clinch the Kano State Governorship ticket was defeated by the anointed candidate of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Nasiru Gawuna who gathered 2,289 votes against Sharada’s 30 votes.

    Ismaeel Ahmed

    Ismaeel Ahmed is the former senior special assistant to President Buhari on social investment.

    Ahmed who had desire to representing Kano Central Senatorial District decided to step down just from the race after the Governor of Kano State, Ganduje reached out to him.

    Bashir Ahmad

    President Buhari’s former new media aide, Bashir Ahmad was defeated in his effort to clinch the APC ticket to contest the House of Representative seat for Gaya/Ajingi/Albasu Federal Constituency, Kano.

    Naija News had earlier reported that Ahmad was defeated by the incumbent member, Abdullahi Gaya, with 109 to 16 votes.

    Sani Sha’aban

    Sani Shaaban, an in-law to President came third in his desire to clinch the governorship ticket of the party in Kaduna State.

    The primary was won by Uba Sani who polled 1,149 votes, Bashir Abubakar scored 37 votes and Shaaban had 20 votes.

    Muftahu Muhammad

    President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew, Muftahu Muhammad lost his bid to be re-elected to represent Daura/Sandamu/Maiadua Federal Constituency.

    Aminu Jamu who polled 117 votes defeated Muhammed who scored 30 votes.

    Faruk Adamu

    Faruk Ádámù is an associate of President Buhari who was defeated by the deputy governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi with 1,220 to 15 votes.
