The Ekiti State Governor-elect, Biodun Oyebanji, has revealed the reason he visited former Governor, Ayodele Fayose at his Lagos residence.
Naija News earlier reported that Oyebanji had paid a thank-you visit to the former governor following his emergence as the winner of the Ekiti governorship election.
In a post on his Facebook page on Wednesday night, Oyebanji said the visit was in line with his plan to reach out to notable Ekiti leaders before taking over the mantle of leadership in October.
The Ekiti-governor elect disclosed that their discussion centred mainly on the development of the state and the need for every citizen to play his or her role creditably.
“Our discussion centred mainly on Ekiti development and the need for every citizen to play his or her role creditably.
“Ex-Governor Fayose, the PDP Governorship Candidate, Chief Bisi Kolawole and the state chapter of PDP had sent congratulatory messages to me shortly after I was declared winner of the June 18 election.
“I do not take the gestures for granted,” he wrote.
