Enugu East Senator, Chimaroke Nnamani has berated the supporters of the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Sharing his thoughts via Twitter, Nnamani described Obi’s supporters as dictators who lacked home training.
The politician said the attitude of Obi’s supporters was “un-Igbo” insisting that they are intolerant, abusive, and are trying to force Nigerians to pursue a one-party state.
According to Nnamani: “#ObidiEND Dictators who will pursue a one-party state with all their inelectability, they are intolerant, abusive and vacuous.
“Forcing us to vote for their party. Shutting us out of dialogue! No home training like FS Yusufu and paid Tweeps insulting their fathers and mothers! Un-Igbo.”
Obi Replies Tinubu
Peter Obi has replied the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer, Bola Tinubu, over the call to caution his supporters against spreading false information.
Naija News earlier reported that Tinubu’s campaign organisation on Wednesday said Obi’s supporters were defaming the former Governor of Lagos State and charged him to call them to order.
Peter Obi, in a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Valentine Obienyem, said it is wrong to link his supporters to fake reports about Tinubu, insisting that publications from the party are always properly signed and spelt out.
He stressed the need for all Nigerians to desist from spreading lies, malice and denigrating other candidates.
The former Governor of Anambra State added that he is aware of the agitations in different parts of the country and has revealed plans to stop it as well as bring everyone together as one happy family.
