President Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday, left New York in the United States after participating in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Naija News reports that the Nigerian leader boarded the presidential jet via the JFK International Airport in New York to Abuja.
The President is expected to arrive that the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Monday, after been in the US for a week.
President Buhari had on Wednesday delivered the national statement on the second day of the general debates at the session of the UN General Assembly.
The President also participated in high-level meetings and side events, including the Nigeria International Economic Partnership Forum (NIEPF) convened by Nigeria in partnership with the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU).
He held strategic bilateral meetings with some participating world leaders, renowned investors, and heads of multinational organisations while in New York.
On the entourage of the President were the First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari, some governors, ministers, and top government officials.
2023: Tinubu, Shettima Jet Out To London Ahead Of Campaigns
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, have traveled to London, the United Kingdom.
Naija News learned that Tinubu and Shettima left the country on Saturday ahead of the start of the electioneering campaigns on Wednesday, September 28.
In a chat with The Punch, the spokesperson for Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that the duo went to London for vacation.
According to Onanuga, Tinubu and his running mate will be out of the country for a week to prepare them for campaigns and will return to the country in the first week of October.
He said: “He only took a week break for vacation.”
